Eating in Swedish nature. Swedish forests are filled with edible treats such as berries, mushroom, nettles and other greens, and they are of course best enjoyed in the outdoors.

Selaön’s beautiful scenery and winding lanes make it perfect for excursions. This lake island, the largest in Sweden, is filled with ancient monuments rune stones and burial mounds. The table is located close to Äleby gård estate and MälsåkerCastle, in the heart of a country-house landscape, typical of Södermanland. Äleby offers tranquillity just 90 km from Stockholm. The final 10 km of road is secluded, ending with Äleby Gård, nestling on hills on the shores of Lake Mälaren. With the lake, forest, fields and large numbers of game animals, Äleby is an oasis for relaxation. Also consider a visit to the nearby town of Mariefred and Gripsholm Castle. In Sörmland county, you’ll find culinary experiences with a strong focus on game meat and local producers.
